WOW: A Letter to WOW Players

The fifth anniversary of World of Warcraft will be on Monday, Nov. 23. However, the celebration has been kicked off by Blizzard by putting an Onyxia Whelpling pet in the mailbox of every player.

Players just need to log in to get the "WoW's 5th Anniversary" achievement. So, if you want them to have the Feat of Strength, please be sure to sign on to each of your characters. In addition, the Pilgrim's Bounty event also started today and will be held throughout the week.

In honor of the game's anniversary, Blizzard sent every player a letter with the pet. You can read the full letter after the jump.

Wow, another year has gone by for WoW!

We wanted to thank you again for continuing to play World of Warcraft with us. In celebration of our 5th year online, we decided to bring back our first raid encounter, the black dragon Onyxia.

To help remember the event, you are now the proud owner of your very own Onyxian Whelpling. We suggest you bring the little guy out whenever you can and say "Many whelps! Handle it!" Your friends won't mind. Honest.
